Book Week 2017
Confession: I suck at being a school mum. Like, I really suck. I’m not by any stretch of the imagination an organised person. But that’s OK, I have strengths in other areas. And my daughter never misses out. She might hand in her excursion note a little late but she still gets to go on the excursion. I might leave her Book Week costume to the last minute but I will work extra hard to make sure it’s finished for the day of the parade. Even if it means hauling my aching, pregnant self to the local shopping mall on a three hour hunt to find a red and white striped shirt (which seemed to be in abundance until I started to look for one). And then spending the rest of the day despairing because there are absolutely no beanies for sale at this time of year. Luckily, I remembered I could easily crochet one (a skill that has been largely useless up until this point). And as always, the aching legs, crochet-induced RSI and extra stress wrinkles were all worth it, just to see her excited little face on the morning of the parade.
I love this! 😀
Every single person is imperfectly perfect, remember. 😉
