Summer Adventures 6

Waking up at 3am in 33 degree heat (92 Fahrenheit) is not the best way to start a day. And not having an air conditioner in your home can certainly make you resourceful. Hot and uncomfortable, but resourceful. A trip to an air conditioned play-centre in an air-conditioned car, followed by a trip to an air-conditioned mall for cool drinks made the first half of the day bearable. With a cool change predicted for the afternoon we headed to the beach for some refreshing sea-breeze.  It was the absolute worst weather imaginable followed by the most perfect weather imaginable, all within the space of an hour or two. Climate change, schmimate change. Of course the children, being children, were for the most part oblivious to the weather. They were just happy to be out of the house for the day.
