Whale watching attempt #2: There were no whales to be seen again. Not that Fox would have seen much anyway, with his binoculars back to front and all. We did, however, have fun sitting on the hill watching the sunset and picking flowers. I’ve discovered that whale watching is not so much about actually seeing whales, it’s more about the scenery, being outdoors and sharing it all with the people you love. Of course a whale or two would definitely be an added bonus. Once the sun disappeared we headed to the ice-cream parlor. Partly to make up for the absence of whales but mostly because I used it as a bribe to get the children to let me take some (errrrm, many) photos.
