FOX: We decided to go for an afternoon swim. I put your swimmers on, gave you a feed then put you in your cot to play while I got everything else ready. I put my own swimmers on, packed Lamb’s swimmers, three towels, three hats (once I found them all), two different types of sun cream, a bucket and spade, spare nappies and a beach mat to sit on.  When I returned I found you like this. One of the very few time in your life that you have put yourself to sleep. After eight failed attempts to get you to sleep in your cot yesterday I wasn’t about to wake you. The beach will have to wait for another day.
