2020. What to say about 2020? I’m always apprehensive about ‘speaking ill’ of 2020, especially when we are only halfway into the first month of 2021. And, after all, we survived the year intact. We have the health of our family and friends and for that I will always be grateful. There was a period of intense, unrelenting homeschooling and that month when the sky was an apocalyptic shade of orange and burnt leaves and ash were raining down on us. But there were also seaside adventures, days when we didn’t get out of our pyjamas and afternoons spent under the shade of the big, Liquid Amber tree in our backyard. I even celebrated one decade of being a mum. One decade! I still can’t get my head around that.
