August 2019

Broken thumbs, book week, first hair cuts and school discos.

It’s funny, when friends ask me what I’ve been up to I rack my brain, think of the two thousand loads of washing I’ve done that month, and after a long, awkward silence I say meekly, ‘Oh, you know? Not much. Same old, same old’. Often times I feel like I’m going nowhere and doing nothing. Like my life is the movie Groundhog Day only without the humor or the dramatic, heartfelt ending. But then I come to collate the month’s photos in a blog post and I realise, things actually did happen. Not huge, monumental, life changing things but little things. Play dates and beach trips and getting takeout and watching movies with the kids. And honestly, that’s exactly the way I like it. Our little family and our humble life. Here are a few snaps of little moments from last month.
