LAMB: It was your first real trick-or-treating experience and I had never seen you so excited. I told you that as soon as the first trick-or-treaters came to our door we could commence our own sugar-collecting journey around the block. You spent the next fifteen minutes with your face pressed up against the window pane, eyes wide like a cat waiting for a mouse to pop it’s head out of it’s hole. More than once you threw your hands up in despair and sighed “Oh, dey never going to come.”, as if you had spent your whole life, by that window, waiting.
