LAMB: It was over three weeks ago that we first saw the poster announcing that the circus was coming to town. Since that day the very first words to exit your mouth upon waking every morning were, “Circus coming today?” and everyday you were met with a disappointing reply. Today was a different story, today was the day that I could finally answer “Yes! We are going to the circus today!”. Your enthusiasm was contagious, I had never seen you more excited about anything in your (admittedly short) life. I’m not entirely sure if you knew what to expect, it’s difficult to say how much you understood about what a circus actually was, but it was clear that you knew it was going to be something rather exciting.
